The Librarian gets picked up as a series on TNT

The only reason I’m covering this is because my wife made me watch all three of the original The Librarian TV movies that this new series is adapted from.  They were goofy fun, but I always saw the Librarian as a poor man’s Indiana Jones or Lara Croft. The promo clip looks like The Librarians will maintain the same goofy fun of the movies.

An ancient organization has vowed to defend us from unspeakable evil. Watch the 2-hour series premiere of The Librarians Sunday, December 7 at 8/7c only on TNT.

I liked the Librarian movies, but didn’t know here was a third. I agree about a poor man’s Lara Croft – also the Nick Cage National Treasure’s. I’m looking forward to this series, never would have heard about it if I wasn’t subscribed to you even though I have social media. Thanks so much!

    • In addition to National Treasure, it also reminds us a bit of Brendan Fraser’s The Mummy movies. If you like these fantastical adventure movies, you may want to check out The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec.

    • Thanks for reading. I’d never heard of Leverage until your comment. I looked it up and it sounds interesting. It’s also available to stream from Netflix, so I’ll make it a point to check it out. Thanks!
